Typing multiple spaces results in just single spaces when the file is published

HTML does not allow for multiple spaces (or tabs) to be used. Freeway doesn't stop you using multiple spaces when you're working in your Freeway document, but when the file is published, multiple spaces will be ignored and the HTML will display as though only a single space has been used.

You can, however, use "non-breaking spaces" - which are a particular type of space recognized by HTML.

To do this, type multiple spaces while holding down the Option key.

Note that this is not an accurate method for aligned text - if you want to align text (such as in multiple columns), it's much better to use a table.
