Graphic text looks fuzzy when placed on top of a JPEG image

When graphic text is positioned over a JPEG it usually converts to this
file type too, which may show artefacts (fuzziness) around the text on preview.

Graphic text displays best as a GIF, so you need to be able to use the graphic text item as a different format to the JPEG image behind it.

To do this, first select the item and then uncheck the “Combine Graphics” option in the General Settings tab of the Inspector. Next, go to the Output Settings tab of the Inspector, click and hold on the “Type” popup and change it from JPEG to
GIF.
