Validating code has never been more important. The W3C publishes the specifications for HTML and XHTML, and so on. By building a site using valid code, you know that browsers whch support standards will display the pages as you intend them. And for those browsers which don’t support standards yet, we’ve included some tweaks to ensure behaviour that is as close as possible. Freeway generates valid HTML and XHTML automatically – you do not need to dive into the code to make changes, nor do you need to wait for an upgrade to the template files you are using to ensure compliance with standards. Safari TidyWe recommend downloading an installing Safari Tidy - a really helpful plug-in for Safari which gives you validation information about the page you are viewing in the status bar. W3CThe W3C has detailed documentation about the spec for all the flavours of HTML and CSS that Freeway outputs. It also has a validation service which checks your site online. AccessibilityValid code is necessary when providing servives for those peope who need assistive technoliogies to access a web site. Such devices rely on the web page being created using valid code.
