Standards ComplianceiWeb: Does not produce valid HTML. Freeway: All Freeway-created websites produce valid HTML. Code EditingiWeb: Limited to HTML Snippets which are blocks of code added directly into the page. Freeway: As well as allowing HTML code to be inserted directly into the page, most objects can be edited within Freeway to add attributes to their corresponding tags in the HTML output. Also, code snippets can be inserted directly into several predefined positions related to key tags in the page output. PluginsiWeb: Has no support for plugins. Freeway: Freeway Actions - Javascript plugins capable of adding dynamic functionality to web pages, for example rollovers, navigation bars, blogging and CMS’s. Common elements in a web site can be created on a master page, and then all pages based on that master will contain those elements as well as its own. Web Hosting and UploadingiWeb: Supports uploading to .Mac accounts. Sites can be uploaded to other web hosting, but it has to be done manually using an FTP client and some features will not work. Freeway: Built-in upload to any web hosting, including .Mac. E-commerceiWeb: No support for e-commerce. Freeway: Built in Freeway Shop can easily create links to Mal’s e-commerce, a free online shopping cart system with access to online payment gateways. HTML TablesiWeb: No support for HTML tables Freeway: Supports HTML tables. FormsiWeb: No support for HTML form elements Freeway: Full support for HTML form elements.
