Avoiding unsightly banding patterns in Showcase images
When working with photographs that contain strong repeating patterns in Showcase some parts of them may not look as expected. In the example below you can see that the regular pattern of the roof tiles is causing the resized image to display a banding pattern.
To resolve this issue turn off the Smoothing option in the Output section of the Showcase application's Inspector palette.
