Where’s my serial number?

If you purchased Freeway or Exhibeo from the App Store you will not have or need a serial number. If you need to download your software again, you can do so in the Purchased section of the App Store.

If you bought directly from us you should have received an email containing your serial number. If you have registered your application before, you can automatically retrieve it here.

If you haven’t registered and can't find your serial, contact us and we’ll be glad to help you out. Please note that if you purchased Freeway from somewhere other than the Softpress website, we may not have a record of your serial or purchase.

How can I register my application?

Whether you purchased directly from us, a third party, or the Mac App Store, you can register your software using the form on the registrations page.

What are the system requirements for Freeway and Exhibeo?

Freeway 6 requires 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and above. We have versions of Freeway that are compatible with Tiger (10.4) and Leopard (10.5) available for sale on the each of the product pages (Express, Pro). If you need to upgrade from a previous version, contact us.

Exhibeo requires 10.7 (Lion) and above.

How much do your products cost?

How do I buy an upgrade to the latest version?

To upgrade your old copy of Freeway, go to the Freeway Pro Upgrade page, or the Freeway Express Upgrade page, and enter your serial number in the field provided. The appropriate product will then be added to the cart.

To upgrade to Freeway 6 from the App Store version, please send a screenshot of Freeway AS running on your machine to our Sales Team, along with details of the version you're using and the version you wish to upgrade to, and we'll provide you with the approprite upgrade discount as soon as we can.

Do you offer a bulk discount for multi-seat licenses?

We do. Please contact us with the number of seats you require and we’ll be happy to help.

Is there an education or non-profit discount?

We offer a 20% discount for people in education, not-for-profit organizations, and seniors.

If you are a teacher, student, administrator, or home educator, then you qualify. Please scan or photograph a document (class schedule, ID, letterhead) that confirms your status.

The qualifying age for seniors is 60 years old. We need to see a scan of your drivers license, passport, or similar showing your age.

For non-profits, we need to see proof of your 501(c)(3) status or anything that proves your status as a non-profit.

Why is the price in my currency different to the current $ exchange rate?

Due to the constant movement of exchange rates we can’t always guarantee that our international prices are exactly the same as the current exchange rate.

Why isn't Freeway 6 available on the App Store?

Apple have introduced new requirements on App Store applications. Unfortunately, Freeway 6 cannot meet these requirements. Freeway 5.5 will continue to be made available on the App Store at a reduced price. Customers purchasing this version will be entitled to an upgrade discount to the latest version.

Are there any differences between Freeway on the App Store and the version on the Softpress site?

Freeway on the App Store has three main differences. It doesn’t need serializing so doesn’t have a serialization dialog. It can’t automatically convert Flash Videos into iPhone and iPad ready QuickTime movies. It doesn’t have an Import from iPhoto option – this is already available in the Open dialog in Snow Leopard and above.

Where can I find the Showcase application?

Showcase is included in your Freeway download. IF you no longer have it, or you purchased from the App Store, It can be downloaded on the Showcase page.

Can I open Freeway Pro files in Freeway Express?

No, Freeway Pro files cannot be opened in Freeway Express.

Can I open existing websites, or HTML files in Freeway?

Freeway Pro has been designed to make it as easy as possible to create websites visually. One of the trade-offs for this is that Freeway doesn’t read HTML, meaning it can’t open existing sites and perfectly convert them into a format that Freeway understands.

The upside is that you can very quickly copy and paste and drag and drop elements from your existing website directly into Freeway. Coupled with Master Pages you’ll have your site in Freeway in no time at all.

Can I open my Freeway file in older versions of Freeway?

You can only open your Freeway file in the current and later versions of the application. When you open them in later versions, Freeway will save a copy of the original file so you can go back to it if necessary.

How many machines can I run my copy of Freeway on?

You can run your copy on Freeway on any of your personal machines. If you need to run it on more than one machine at a time you will need to purchase additional licenses.

Do you provide web hosting?

We don’t provide web hosting ourselves. The following hosts all have services that work perfectly with Freeway: MacHighway, Mac specialists providing world class hosting (USA); FatCow, who have excellent prices and support (USA); InMotion, who are well respected and also very reasonable (USA); and ineedwebhosting, a UK based host with the added advantage of being very familiar with Freeway.
