Helpdesk Operator

We are recruiting a person to support to our customers across the world by email and occasionally by phone.

You'll be responding to and resolving a wide range of technical queries about our software, ranging from basic user questions to more detailed issues about the software.

You will have:

Good communication skills, including a good level of written English and attention to detail.

Knowledge or a keen interest in web design and/or web authoring with some familiarity with HTML

Working knowledge of the Apple Mac is preferred, although not essential.

Training will be provided. We also welcome applications for those looking to work part-time as part of a job share.

Technical Support Operative

The successful candidate will work from our offices near Oxford,UK.

General technical skills, enthusiasm, commitment, the ability to learn new skills and good "people skills" are essential.

Job Overview

We are recruiting a person keen to gain experience providing technical support to our customers, our most valuable asset --who expect and deserve the highest levels of service. You will be dealing with customers across the world by email, and occasionally by phone.

You'll be responding to and resolving a wide range of technical queries ranging from basic user questions about our software to more detailed issues about both the software and web development generally.

Reports to: Head of Technical Support, Technical Director, and Managing Director.

Main Duties

• Supporting Freeway (web-authoring tool for the Apple Macintosh)

• Answering Technical Support queries by email and telephone

• Extending the resources available to customers with contributions to the Knowledgebase

• Identifying software issues and bringing them to the attention of the management/engineering team

Other Possible Duties

• Carrying out training sessions

• Software testing

• Giving demos at trade shows

• Any related activity that may be required from time to time

Skills

• Macintosh skills are desirable but not essential

• Organisation, planning skills to provide ongoing and timely support

• Knowledge of HTML/web-authoring

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Reliability, attention to detail and initiative
