This action can provide navigation to pages in your site (or to other sites) using popups. It uses JavaScript, so it will not be available if JavaScript is not supported in the browser, or if it is turned off. Therefore, it's a good idea to provide alternative links in your site.
Choose the Navigation Popup Action from the Action menu in the Tools palette and sketch on your page.
Whilst selected, open the Action Palette and specify the links:
You can specify up to 20 link 'Options' in the action. If the text field is blank for any item, it won't appear in the menu. If the link is set to "None" it won't do anything when you select it. This means that you can add a "separator" item into the menu by typing in "-----" as shown in the example above. Just leave the URL set to none for this item.
Target - The target window for your links. If you want the page to open in the current window choose 'whole'. If the popup is in a frame then the page will load into the current frame.
Choose New Window if you want the target page to open in a new browser window.
Choose 'other' if you want to specify another target window such as a specific frame.
CSS Style Name - If you have some CSS styling you want to apply to this dropdown, simply type in it's name into the CSS Style Name box. This style must be published by the page for this to work, so put a text box on the pasteboard containing some text with this style applied to make sure that it is. The right hand version of this action has a CSS style applied to it. This feature will only work in HTML 4 sites.
Other Target - This becomes active if the 'Other' option in the Target popup is selected. Enter the target (or frame) name you want to open the pages into.
Next Option - The Option number from the list that you want to show after the link is clicked or choose 'none' |
