Link to New Window Information

The New Window Action can be applied to an image and opens up a new window displaying a linked page, with or without toolbars etc.

First create a new page in Freeway that you want to display in the popup window.

To use the Action:

Select the graphic item you want to launch the popup window from then select the 'Link to New Window action from the Item > Actions menu.

With the graphic selected, open the Action palette then set the following parameters:

Window Name - The name used to identify the window in which the page is opened.

Auto Close - This will automatically close the window when another link on the parent page is clicked or the window is closed. (The Close Window action will need to be applied to the popup page).

Page - The page or URL you want to open in the new window.

Width - The width of the popup window that will open.

Height - The height of the popup window that will open.

Toolbars - Determines whether the new window will have a toolbar.

Scrollbars - Determines whether the new window will have a scrollbar.

Resizable - Determines whether the new window will be resizable.

Use Link - Allows you to open the new page in the main window as well as the popup window by selecting Yes and applying a link to the Item in the Hyperlinks dialogue. Selecting No will leave the current page as it is and just open the new window.
