Bravenet FormMailer Information

This Freeway Action will enable to you easily set up and use the free BraveNet Formmailer script with Freeway.

NOTE: This Bravenet Formmailer Action will only work correctly if you have an account with Bravenet (http://www.bravenet.com). Accounts are free and are designed purely for use by web developers.

Once you have signed up for the 'Email Form', they will provide you with some code to use in your form. This will be the URL of the script that processes the form (1st highlight) and also your unique usernumber (2nd highlight).

Using the Bravenet FormMailer Action

Select Bravenet FormMailer form from the Actions popout menu on the Tools palette and draw a box which will enclose all the fields on your form

Setting up the FormMailer Form in the Inspector palette

Now you need to set up the fields in the Actions panel of the Inspector palette:

Serverid - This is the name of the server Bravenet has assigned you to - see above (you MUST have this for it to work)

Usernum - This is a number for the account you have with Bravenet - see above (you MUST have this for it to work)

Subject - The subject you want the email you receive to have.

 

Setting up the Form fields on the page

Next you need to add the fields for the visitor to fill in. Use the form tools on the bottom two rows of the Tools palette to create these. If you set up the form mailer using the item on the Tools palette and drawing the box, you need to make sure that all your form items are enclosed within that box.
